Ask now answers spending questions for a chosen period across customers or families of virtual keys. A monthly customer ranking and the average spend on top-up keys can use the same recorded usage, without running customer analysis first.

A question such as “Which customers spent the most from October 1 through October 31?” can include a customer segment, a first-seen period or a spending threshold. Ask applies those filters to the matching population before selecting the ranking. Totals and averages cover all matches, even when the answer uses a short list of leading customers.

Customer totals combine the keys attributed to that customer. Questions about the keys themselves have a separate workspace-wide calculation: Ask can group spending by key, key suffix or customer, with literal alias filters for a family such as top-up keys. This makes it possible to compare a key family across the workspace without requesting a breakdown for every customer.

The averages identify their denominator. Average spend per known key can include keys with zero captured spending; average spend per spending key covers the keys with positive spending in the selected period. A known key may come from the saved key inventory or usage history, so it does not necessarily describe a currently active credential.

These queries reconcile retained request records with the daily spending archive before adding customer or key totals. Period boundaries use inclusive UTC dates. In Ask, name the dates and whether the question concerns customers or keys to make the comparison specific.
